The two big releases of this week crime action thriller Kaala and American sci-fi Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom hit the screens today. Both the films have huge buzz among their targeted audience in India.
Rajinikanth’s much-awaited film Kaala, the anticipation surrounding the film is pretty high. In the film, that also stars Nana Patekar as the antagonist and Huma Qureshi, has been grabbing the eyeballs for reasons more than one. Finally, the film is set to hit the theatres this Thursday and all the Rajinikanth fans are excited to witness the magic of Thalaivar on the big screen once again.
Rajinikanth is one of the most popular superstars of India. His last offering Kabali was also with the director Pa. Ranjith and was opened at 46.50 crores at the domestic box office including all the versions. With its Hindi version, the film was collected 4.15 crores from 1000 screens.
The Kaala trailer has set the expectations of the fans soaring to another level. But will the film, which sees Rajinikanth in a gangster avatar, If trade experts are to be believed, Kaala is expected to open at a range of 48-50 crores across India with all the versions. The film is expected to collect 5-6 crores from its Hindi version only.
On the other hand latest installment of Hollywood popular sci-fi film series Jurassic Park, Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom is also hitting the screens same day and has good buzz among the Indian audience in metro cities, although the film is not releasing in a 3D format in India.Jurassic World: the Fallen Kingdom will release in about 1000 screens.
Fallen Kingdom is directed by JA Bayona and stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Jeff Goldblum. Talking about the box office collections, “In an ideal scenario, Jurassic World: the Fallen Kingdom will open to a collection of Rs 3.50 – 4 crore on day one. Over the weekend, it should make nearly Rs 15 – 18 crore across Indian screens.
