Rani Mukerji, who was away from the movie for a while, now once again she is back on the big screen with her latest film ‘Hichki.
The film opened to an average start at the ticket windows but is expected to catch up over the weekend. Directed by Sidharth P Malhotra, Rani Mukerji starrer Hichki is an adaptation of the book Front of the Class: How Tourette Syndrome Made Me the Teacher I Never Had by Brad Cohen.Rani who nailed her act as Naina Mathur in ‘Hichki’. The actress plays the role of an aspiring teacher who suffers from a neurological disorder.
The film got succeed to impress viewers and with strong content and getting positive word of mouth, that will help the film to grow over the weekend.
On the opening day, Hichki opened to a slow note in morning show but good respnses in the evening shows, it witnessed good growth in multiplexes . The film realesed on 961 screens across India, the movie did the business of 3.30 crores at the domestic box office on the opening day.
Rani’s last film Mardaani, which was an action thriller, Hichki as it is a non-masala film with serious content. Rani is the only big star in the movie, and the entire film rests on her shoulder.The film produced by Yash Raj Films.Day 2 is Saturaday the film expect to collect 4.50- 5.20 cr at the domestic bx office.
